I recently got an email from a subscriber who was confused on what CBD concentration she should buy for her first purchase of CBD.

Whenever you go to an online store or dispensary to buy CBD oil, you will see bottles of various concentrations. The bottles will vary in size as well as in concentration. Typically the concentrations will start at around 250 mg CBD and go all the way up to 2000 mg CBD and more.

The important thing to understand is that the concentration does not determine the dose. You can take any dose of CBD at any concentration, so long as you figure out the serving size of the product you buy.

Let’s say you want to take a dose of 10 mg CBD. You can take this dose if you buy a 250 mg bottle or 750 mg bottle of CBD (or any size). The bigger 750 mg bottle of CBD will simply have more doses.

What’s important to figure out is the serving size of each bottle and brand you buy. Every brand will have a different serving size. One brand’s serving size might be: one dropper is equal to 12.5 mg, while another brand might be: one dropper is equal to 25 mg. The serving size will also vary depending on the concentration of CBD in the bottle. Higher concentration bottles (like 750 mg and more) will have more concentrated serving sizes.

To get the right dose, you just need to carefully read the label to determine the serving size of your CBD.

If you know you want to take larger doses (25 – 50 mg at a time), go with a larger concentration of CBD. A larger concentration bottle will provide bigger serving sizes for you.

If you are just starting out, go with a smaller bottle (250 – 300 mg CBD) as the serving sizes will be smaller.

With CBD dosing, always start slow and go slow. Figure out the lowest effective dose for your symptoms and stick with that. No need to overdo it and please be safe.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
